ROD RUN

was a success inspite of the massive flooding in the park.

Heartland Mall opened their parking lot up to us and we had

unbelievably great weather.

We want to thank all of the 130 plus entries

for coming on out and making it a wonderful show.

Poker Run

There was not much of a turn out for the Poker Run on Friday evening this year. The crowd

seemed to stay away because of the chance of more flooding. However, the ones who

did brave out had a good time.

Car Show

You have heard the saying, "The show must go on." Well, it did.

Members were busy Friday making arrangements for moving to the mall in Early.

Some of them were even up past midnight and then at the Mall at 5:00 AM.

It was a slow start and things were not looking hopeful and then, "Bam!"

Everyone got there at once.

AWARDS

This year's Dipstick Plague design was done by the talented "Need to Go" Cynthia Johnson.

Dipstick

The Dipstick Award this year was given to Penny Barr who ever so gracefully rolled her big wheel. While recovering from the asphalt with no regard to physical injury, she flashed that smile asking, "Is my hair messed up?"

2016 was a great success!

Next year's Rod Run is June 2 & 3, 2017

1100 Riverside Park Drive right off of Commerce Street

Brownwood, Texas

The Heartland Cruisers hold a monthly planning meeting the second Saturday of each month meeting at TSTC mostly.

We also try to do one major activity each month.

About Us

We are a small club. You can not find a more eager and happy-to-help group of people.

We are located in the heart of Texas. When the original group could no longer put on the car show here in Brownwood, we just could not let it die out; so began the Heartland Cruisers in 2008.

The Club is primarily the brain child of three amigos, Paul, Donnie and Wayne, but it is in the heart and soul of countless rodders. The group just grows and grows.

During the year we participate in many activities. The big event is our Rod Run in June with entries from everywhere you could imagine. Beginning in 2008, there were 194 entries. In 2009 we had 270 entries. Then in 2010, the number of entries grew to 305. And then in 2011, we had a record of 411 entries!

We also hold a car show for the Brownwood Reunion in September. We meet almost every Tuesday night and get together either for a short cruise, or to go out to eat, or we hold Cruise Nights the first Tuesday 9 months out of the year at the Sonic in Early, Texas. If you get a chance come join us.

In some form or fashion we participate in approximately 40 events over the year. You know, there are only 52 weeks in a year, but who is counting when you are having fun.

What a "Great Group" we have, and thanks to all that pitch in and make it happen.
